Events

Events = Community

Events bring our Service Unit together as a community. It helps Scouts expand their friendships beyond their immediate troop. As your Scouts get older and move to bigger schools, those friendships from scouting folds into friendships at school.

Why Attend Service Unit events? YOU HAVE ONE LESS THING TO PLAN!
If someone else is willing to do the legwork, heck yea, my Scouts will be there!

Events help leaders have activities and not have to do anything but gather RSVPs and show up. Our goal is one Service Unit event a month, but we won't have troops wanting to host, if your troops don't sign up and attend.

As troops age, they begin hosting events, for two reasons (ok, maybe more, but these are primarily it): they are fundraising for a bigger purpose and they are gaining leadership skills.

Events can be hosted by anyone, have an idea? -- lead it or if your not ready for that, bring it to the lead team, we'll see what we can do!

Register directly with Troop 45293 on their website!

Choose a movie:

  • Barbie (Wear PINK!)

  • Elemental

  • Frozen

  • Little Mermaid

Your troop can split between movies, but they need an adult with them. There will be enough overall adults to meet scout:adult ratios. That said your troop must meet scout:adult ratios overall:

Troop of 12, must have 2 adults. Splitting between 2 theaters, 1 adult goes with each group. 3 theatre, requires 3rd adult.

Remember to bring your own reusable water bottle!
